Official Guides’ Association
in Castilla-La Mancha
The Regional Association of Official Guides of Castilla-La Mancha (APIT CLM) has been operating for over forty years and plays a very important role in the promotion and development of tourism in the region through our work of approaching and interpreting the historic-artistic, cultural and ethnographic heritage of our land.
There are many who come to Castilla-La Mancha every year to enjoy not only Toledo, perhaps our “flagship” location, but also countless other cities, towns and corners scattered throughout the incomparable riches of our region. Our affection for our land and our profession makes us perfect ambassadors of its treasures, and we feel compelled to pass it on to all visitors in the most appropriate, faithful and interesting way.
Our close collaboration with regional and local institutions, our constant revision and extension of the knowledge we have acquired, as well as the updating and modernization of services make us the association of reference.
There are more than seventy official guides of varied backgrounds that make up our association. We are sure you will find the guide for you here!
Our guides will bring you ever closer to Castilla-La Mancha!
All members of our Association are qualified via the Official Guide for Tourism license, a basic and essential authorisation required in order to practice the profession.
The academic training of all our members and the annual refresher courses conducted by the association make the quality of our service a nation-wide benchmark and a key rule for all of us.
There are more than 40 years behind us as an association. If experience is an advantage, we really have a lot of it, which complements our daily work.
Ranging from private to specialised tours – including groups of all kinds – our effort is always directed towards the visitor regardless of origin or knowledge level, so that they may capture the essence of the city and of each and every monument they are interested in.
